Here are the details for the upcoming season:
- Season: September 6th to mid-November (some coaches will start practices earlier)
- Number of games: 10 (usually on Saturday, some Sundays possible)
- Practices: Usually 2 practices/week. Skills training is offered one day/week for a 6 week block by our BISA group, which many coaches utilize for their 2nd practice.
- What team are we on? We try our hardest to keep teams together, based on enough players (and coaches returning). Coaches have a meeting in mid-late August where they get their rosters and practice gear - players will be notified by their specific coach after this date. Most coaches rely on e-mail as their communications method, so make sure your e-mail address is correct/updated during the registration process.
- Play-Ups: If you wish your child to play 1 year above their age group, you may select this in the registration process. If your child is younger than 6 and you would like them to play, contact our registrar.
- Uniforms/Equipment: BIYSC has a standard kit (jersey, shorts and socks) that one can purchase during the registration process. Soccer cleats and shin guards can be purchased at most sporting goods stores. If you have your kit from last year (2007) and everything still fits, then you are good. If you are new to the club, did not play in 2007 (where everyone got new stuff), had a growth spurt, or just want some more BIYSC stuff, then you can order new gear during the registration process.
